Welcome to our network Help Site. This section will be able to help you with any question you may have regarding how to sign up, manage your profile, and navigate your way around the rest of the site. If you can not find the answer here or in the website help forums, then please feel free to contact a staff member, you can find staff by clicking on the members tab on the main menu then selecting staff.

Your Profile

Your profile will hold all the information about yourself, your picture, your interests, groups, forum posts etc and network contacts. Hopefully below is all the information you will need to create and manage your Profile.

My Account

Everything you need to organise and control your profile is kept under the My Account tab at the top of the page. From this page, you will see a sub menu appear at the top of the page, pages are:

Main

This is the main page of your account. From here you will be able to see any news or announcements, see and change your profile image.

You can also see your profile URL (this is the link to your personal webpage, you can send people to take them straight to your profile page.

You will find your message center here, from there you can manage all your messages between you and other members.

If you wish to submit anything to your profile, blogs, pictures, events, videos or polls etc, you will find this in your main page ~ simply click on the type of item you wish to upload.

Under the Account info/activity box this shows your membership type, when you first joined the network and other information.

My Page

This is your personal profile page how it appears to other members on the site. It shows your information, as well as any blogs, videos etc that you have uploaded. Also here is where your contacts are able to leave you messages, or see whether you are online.

Settings

Here you can change settings etc on your account and personal profile;

Account Settings: Here you can change your password, e-mail address, and other account information such as your privacy and email notification settings.

Profile Settings: Here is where you can change all the personal details about yourself, you options you choose here will also allow others to search for you using the criteria you choose.

Profile Picture: Upload or change your profile picture.

Design Profile: Here you can change the colors etc of your profile and personalise it to you.

Messages

Here you can control all your messages between you and other members.

Submit Items

Here you can upload pictures, blogs, videos and polls etc to your personal profile page.

My Items

Here is where you can manage, edit all items you have previously uploaded to your page. Here you can also manage any restrictions on members etc.

Contacts

Here you can manage your network lists, you will find your top contacts displayed at the top with the whole contacts list further down the page. You can see if you have any new friend requests or any pending. It is here that you can also delete any contacts you currently are connected to simply by clicking delete underneath the contacts picture.

Favorites

Here you manage your favorite item and contacts. Get quicker access to people and items by making them one of your favorites.

Bulletin

This is where you need to be to create bulletins for you and your contacts, here you can view other bulletins, create your own and post them to your profile.

Invite

Invite your contacts to join the network and your social circle, enter their emails here to send a personal invite to them to join.

Misuse of site

We will review and take every complaint seriously about a misuse of site. If we determine anything uploaded or discussed on the site to be sexually explicit, violent, malicious or otherwise offensive we will remove it immediately and without prior warning to the member(s) involved. Dependant on the level of misuse the member may also have their profile deleted and will be blocked from the site.

Questions and Answers

What Information do I need to sign up?

In order to sign up, you would need to provide a username, password, email address, date of birth, gender and geographical location. (This information will not passed onto any third party, it is used simply to identify a new user is genuine)

What should I use for my username?

A username is a name that is specific only to you, so you can be identified on the site. You can use your name, however with every username needing to be unique this may not always be possible. (Imagine how many people named Tom might be on the site) Therefore you could try your first and last name (i.e. John_Doe, JohnDoe or John-Doe) or if these still are not available, trying putting in middle initials or numbers i.e. John_P_Doe or JohnDoe1975 etc.

How do I know if I can use the username I have chosen?

Once you have typed your desired username in the first field of the sign up screen, please click on the box below called Check Availability. This will then check to see if the username you have typed in is unique to the site or not, if it is then a green OK box will appear next to it and you can continue with your registration. If someone else has already registered the name you typed, a red Fail box will appear and you will have to try a different name by repeating the process.

I forgot my password, what do I do?

If you have forgotten your password please click on the forgotton password link below the sign in box to have an email sent to you with a verification link. Once you have confirmed your email, a new temporary password will be sent to you. You can then change this password to one that is easier to remember by going to your account settings, this is the third white tab called settings. Please see the settings section for more help on this page.

I am not receiving my password change email, why?

Not to worry, firstly check your junk email box ~ certain email providers like hotmail or yahoo sometimes consider emails junk even when they are not. If there is still nothing then please contact us here (auto email or login with title stating ~ forgotten password query) please make sure you send us your username, email address used to sign up to the site, date of birth, gender and geographical location.

The site is saying my password is incorrect even though I know it is correct.

Check your caps lock key, the passwords are case sensitive. If this still does not work please follow the forgotten password link to reset your password.

Cant you send me my password without having to reset it?

For your security no one here has access to your password, so unfortunately you will have to reset your password through the forgotten password link.

How do I upload a video to my profile?

You can upload videos that you have taken personally, or those that are relevant and streamed through other video sites. You can do this through the Submit Items tab on your profile page.

How do I add contacts to my network/friends list?

If you wish to add someone to your contacts/friends list, simple click on Add to Friends on their profile page. This option is found on the Contact Panel underneath the persons profile picture. The person will then need to confirm they want to be added to your network. Once they have they will appear on your profile and contacts list.

How do I submit blogs?

Through the submit option on your profile page you can submit and uploads blogs to your personal profile page.

How can I upload pictures to my picture gallery?

Through the submit option on your profile page you can submit and upload pictures to your personal image gallery.

How can I start a poll?

Through the submit option on your profile page you can submit and upload a poll. Simply enter your question and four possible answers for others to vote on. You must fill in at least two possible answers.

How can I protect my privacy?

You have the choice to make your profile only viewable to your friends/contacts, allow only friends to post comments on your wall and block any html being used on your profile by others. Simply go to the settings tab of your profile page, and tick any of the privacy options at the bottom.

How can I send a new message to another member?
To send a new message to any of your friends/contacts, simply go to your messages tab on your profile page, click into the message center box click compose.
