Title: The Arabian horse
Tags:
Blog Entry: Dated back to years in B.C, the Arab is one of the world's finest horse. With a delicatly curved head, slinder body and high held tail, the Arabian holds a proud spirit. It is said Muhammad chose his foundation mares by a test of their courage and loyalty. Muhammad locked his mares in a pen in the desert by a stream for days withought water. When they were let out and racing for the stream, he called them for battle. Only five stopped and returned to Muhammad, they were called Al Kamsa, meaning the five. These mares became the foundation mares. The Arabian Horse Association recognizes purebred horses with the coat colors bay, gray, chestnut, black, and roan. Bay, gray and chestnut are the most common, black is less common. True roan may not actually exist in Arabians; rather, roaning in the Arab could simply be a manifestation of the sabino or rabicano genes. All Arabians, no matter the coat color, have black skin, except under white markings. Black skin provided protection from the hot desert sun Imagine a pure white Arabian stallion galloping in the moonlight. Splashing across a river and then rearing, right before our eyes in a "hello". Just as we reach out to touch this magnificent animal, he lands on his hooves and flys away, silky white tail traling behind. Leaving a glorious image in our brains to remember him by...
