Title: My first lesson...Bombed, but not really

Blog Entry: I had my first class tonight to learn how to ride Hunt Seat. I am so thrilled even after what happened. Here's the jips of what happened, we groomed the horse and saddled her. Then we walked to out to the arena where I got to the step and tried to mount. I did great stood up in the stir-up and tossed my leg over and sat down. Well as I sat down so did the horse. I just really slid ride off the horse as she went down. The instructed got hit but I didn't see how except she said that she kept seeing stars. After the horse sat down she then tried standing like she surprised herself. The only thing the instructor thought was that maybe she fell asleep and was startled when she fell over. No harm done to either of us or the horse. So at least my first fall is over with and down. I'm not a little girl, I have some weight on me but the trainer assured me that it wasn't that. That her aunt rides her and she 250-275# which places me under. So I am thrilled that it wasn't me, but was it?:sad:
